The Denney family is fine. We lost power last night and when I left for work today we still didn't have it back. Other than that, no problems.
I don't know about Andrew though. There could have been some serious rioting and looting at his apartment complex.
I'm jealous of the snow you so casually speak of. "Oh, just another two inches of snow, no biggy." I'd love to have that outside right now.
Also, Aaron are you driving or flying in for Man's Weekend? Are you going to be stopping by Memphis or Nashville for your drive/flight?
My dad was at the hockey game last night, and they were forcing everyone to say inside until the tornado warning was over. Jasper decided he didn't like that, and left the building.

The power was out all last night and was still off this morning.
It was about 75 degrees here yesterday, so you can imagine how hot our apartment was. You all know I don't do well being hot and sweaty in general, but being hot and sweaty while trying to sleep.

Yes, apparently some mall that I didn't even know existed got destroyed last night. And of course this is Memphis, so flat screen TVs were being looted left and right. Classy.

Here in Cleveland the storm did not hit until the morning. I had just finished my morning workout in the wrestling center when they told us to keep all kids in the locker room. No damage, just insaine rain.
Nunley, thanks for coming to Clarksville to watch Cleveland Wrestling finish 3rd in the state.
Andrew, look for Cleveland High at the swim meet, if you see any of them tell them I said good luck, if they say "screw Coach Jones, that guy is a prick" then I give you permission to agree with them to keep the situation from becoming awkward.
Men, since I have been coaching wrestling this year I have been amazed at the weight these guys loose over the course of a day (or sometimes hours) to make their weight class. I wanted to see how it felt so I decided to weigh in at 162 this week. I started on Monday morning at 173. This morning after my morning workout I weighed 164.1. It sucks. I have eaten hardley anything and drank less than I have eaten. Brandon, I know you will not read this but I think you are the only one out of us that is crazy enough to have done this in high school. I have a workout this afternoon that I am going to weight 162 after, I will keep you updated.
Imagine how much additional weight you could lose this afternoon if you went to a rabbi and got a little extra skin cut off.

We got out of school today and that is awesome. So I played ps3 all day. My wife and I did at one point get in our hall closet together last night for safety and a little makeout. Andrew if we get out tomorrow for some reason. You can count me in. I have been doing push-ups every night well almost every night and growing a beard. So be ready Men.

Once you have a shirt picked out you should put it on the blog so we can all comment on how cool it is. I say "comment on how cool it is" because there will be no comments about what could be different with it. Everyone hear that?
The first person that makes even the slightest remark about it in a negative way will get a swift kick in the crotch when I see them. They'll get a hug shortly after letting them know how great it is to see them, but first will be the crotch kick.
Nunley did us all a solid by taking the lead with the t-shirts. He should get bonus points in the Duke competition because of it.
I just wanted to let everyone know that after my workout yesterday afternoon I weighed 161.8. I then went home adn drank about a half gallon of Powerade and ate a steak dinner. I do not see how these kids do this all season long. If any of you need to fit in to any of your clothes from your freshman year of high school for some reason, just let me know and I will tell you how I lost 11 pounds in 2 days.

I like the idea, minus a golden jock strap. I want to actually wear this shirt, and I'm 29 years old now and don't want to walk around with a man's cup on my back.
The shirt will look sweet with just "The Hunt for the Golden Duke" and the date on the back. Less is more.

"jock strap" and "tasteful" do not go together.
Just having "The Hunt for the Golden Duke" on the back will make people ask, "Hmmm, I wonder what that is?" and we can tell them if we so choose.
Having a picture of jock takes all the "mystery" of the golden duke away. And people love mystery.

That being said, I agree with no Jock Strap. Nunley, we already have one shirt with a jock on it (athletic supporters) and even though my students love it I would prefer to only own one.

As far as my traveling plans. I am on call at the hospital overnight on that Thursday. I should get off Friday around noon but I am going to try to
get my work done a little earlier. Jenny is coming down to Memphis and being my driver on the way down because it won't be safe for me to drive. The problem is that she works that day but is trying to get off around noon as well. We hope to be in Memphis by 7.
That being said Jenny is going to need a car in Memphis for the weekend, so Ross and Andrew could I ride with you of borrow one of your cars to drive up there if you are leaving earlier.
I would write more but I have to go to the gym...my training routine for the duke is taking up more of my time these days.

We had one girl make it to the finals. She came in 8th.
There are state qualifying times they have to meet during the regular season to make it to State.
