6

As the time for holiday merriment approaches, let this post serve as a metaphorical "popping of the cork" for the planning of the most important holiday of the year: the Weekend of Men 6.

This year proves to be a good one (i.e. cheaper) as Adam's grandfather-in-law's cabin is renovated, operational, and ready for us to christen in anew. So let the discussions flow.

March seems to be a good time. Allow me to offer up to possible dates. March 5-7 or March 12-14. Anybody lean either way on those dates?

Ready? Go!

5-7 IS BETTER FOR ME BUT COULD DO BOTH! I WILL NEED TO CHECK WITH PAPA ONCE WE DECIDE. LET'S GET THIS BALL ROLLING. I AM READY TO THINK ABOUT T-SHIRTS TOO.

PLUS CHECK OUT PUT SOME NUNLEY ON IT.

UNTIL THEN,

I like the "do both" attitude. Either weekend works for me.

2nd half of Feb would be good for me.

I'm pretty open. I'll go with the consensus.

As late as possible. I hate the cold.

The good doctor is requesting 2nd half of February. Feb 19-21 or Feb 26-28. Do either of those weekends knock anybody out of going?

Brawny said...

Any weekend works for me. Lets do 'em all. Month of Men.

Doc said that was good for him. But something else may also work for him. I'd rather not have WOM in the winter since it was originally a spring thing.

When can people NOT go?

Jones said...

Actually, it was originally a winter thing, the first year was early January. Check your facts Kev.

I am fine whenever (I think), the 19-21 is pretty close to Valentines day, so some of us might still be celebrating.

I hope Adam's Manlympic games aren't as cheap as his win was. The "Blueberry Debacle" was one of the low points of the weekend. However, It was worth seeing Nunley jump in the lake. And no one will be able to take away the repeat Horseshoe wins Landon and I had.

WOM has always been a cold weather thing. Hence the reason we are always sitting around and pissing into a fire.

Nunley, see if either of those February dates work for PawPaw.

I will check on the dates in February fo shure! Now lets think about tshirt. Same design new man and or color. Or new design. Discuss!

By the way the "Blueberry Debacle" was a high point in Man's Weekend history! The trophy sits at my house and no one can take that away. Justin for that comment I deduct you -10 points. Booyeh

The first was in January? Are you sure?

Kevin said...

3 of the last 4 WOM's were in March. WOM IV was at the end of FEB, so if it has to be FEB, my vote is for the 26-28th.

Shirts should be whatever we can kill and make into shirts.

Since I am being deducted -10 points, Seth can tell you that is a double negative. I am now 10 points in the lead 3 months early. Boo-Yeah indeed.

Brawny said...

Great - the beast has a lead and we haven't even started yet. Kevin, do you have any extra weight gain supplements? I need to beef up.

Kevin said...

B, I'm pushin' 190 right now. I'd say we're all out of supplements.

Jones said...

Late Feb is cool for me.

Why is Justin being deducted points? And yes, if you want to deduct points, you should not deduct negative points. In order for our system of algebra to be closed in the set of real numbers a negative times a negative is defined as a positive. This is to ensure the distributive property holds true, and that the additive inverse of a number results the identity element of addition.

Nunley, in order to redeem yourself tell us when the Pledge of Allegiance to the US flag was written (without looking it up). I just learned this last week and can not believe I never knew it.

What "blueberry debacle"?

The Nunley said...

-20 Justin is your starting point now. Do not insult my intelligence.

Francis Bellamy and I believe he was a a minister or something. Can't really remember. Also it was revised later under Eisenhower.

Blueberry was the code word for jumping in the water.

Yes on the author, but the Eisenhower revision was the second revision. Also, do you know what the salute to our flag looked originally?

The Nunley said...

no. maybe standing up with hands to your side?

JDL said...

I was merely pointing out your grammar mistake. So sue me, everyone is starting with zero points, or else. Let's not continue to make up rules and deduct and award points on whims. Winning the DUKE allows you to organize the games for next year, not start a point-shaving controversy.

The Nunley said...

Don't question my authority! You have negative 10 points. Like it or not!

JDL said...

No I don't.
