We definitely need to do something about the edges of the picture. It's kind of harsh having a big square and then the gray. Maybe fade the picture out on the edges.
I am not sure that I can do that Kevin. Andrew I like your Idea. I was not sure about the name of the weekend? Is it Weekend of men, Man's Weekend, or Fromunda? Whatever the title I think it should be above the IV on the front. Yes/ No/ Huh?
You might think I have no vote in the shirt since I will not be at man's weekend this year, but this will be the only memory I have of Man's Weekend IV.
1st: I like the color
2nd: I think the picture could and should be faded.
3rd: I would like Kevin to hide words within the picture that mean something to us. Hide them in a way where only we could find them. here are some words we could hide: Fromunda and Deez Nuts. What others should we do?
I looked at the site and they take several filetypes, so transparency is doable, which means we could do about anything. We could even take the sky and trees out of the picture completely. Also, I didn't realize it, but I made this picture in photoshop and I added a bunch of grain to make it look old. That isn't going to translate very well when it is blown up on the shirt. I have the original still on my harddrive but it'll be at least this weekend before I can get to it. We're supposed to close on the house in an hour and the rest of the week will be spent moving probably.
Related answer to unrelated question: This looks to be fake. A lot of the stuff I have read is that none of the record labels have reached a deal with them yet.
Men, I have no sure thing right now. The picture may not work. We could do dots for sure like on the back of the BN shirt (really I think Andrew is the only one who has seen that). What is that you might ask? Black dots. He is checking on that today.
My parents live next to Bobby Head, he owns a t-shirt design place. He might be more advanced than a sporting goods place. (I'm assuming Adam is going through Ryan McDuff)
Andrew brings up a strong option. The less on the shirt, the cheaper it may be. And I know some of us have multiple children at home, so any savings would be good.

The more I look at it, maybe we can shorten the date to:
Feb 29-Mar 2, 2008
February/March takes up too much/prominent space.

UNtil THen,
On the edges, I bet the t-shirt man can do something.
Maybe a border or something?
I think it should be "Man's Weekend"
Suggestions for a border:
Chainlink
Barbwire
Bullets
I played around with different shirt colors, a tan or light brown/heathered brown looked good with the picture color.
Is there a black and white copy of that picture? That might look better.
Man's Weekend IV or
Weekend of Men IV
I could go with either one.
A border would be fine, I think.
I like Ross's idea for a border. Or maybe the picture sitting on a background of chainlink.

Or, we could just not use their text and put the text in the picture. That way we could use any font we want.

These samples are just ideas for Adam to take when he talks to his t-shirt guy. I wasn't intending for us to use the website for our tees.
Adam, you should get with Kevin and see if there is a time when both of you can go.
If we go black and white, I think it's only fair that the Duke be in color.
Unrelated question:
What's with this whole Qtrax thing in the news today? Is it real? Kevin, Justin?

BUT, I will probably try it out.

UNtil THen,
Eh?
I know. It is hard to explain. Black dots make the picture?
Sorry
You mean Stippling? From Art class?
My parents live next to Bobby Head, he owns a t-shirt design place. He might be more advanced than a sporting goods place. (I'm assuming Adam is going through Ryan McDuff)
Should I contact him?
Ok, change of direction:
What if we just went plain and simple?
Front: Same
Back: Centered
Hunt
for the
Golden
Duke
2008 (smaller font)

Would could a picture of the Golden Duke in the black dot thing at the top. I will find out about the real picture on the back this afternoon.
UNtil THen,
For future consideration, we should have a t-shirt coordinator every year, like we do for Manlympics.
Names out of a hat and then that person wouldn't be eligible for t-shirt coordinating duties for 9 years.
or the loser of Man Olympics every year. then they have a chance to redeem themselves for the next year.
UNtil THen,
Ok.....The screen printing guy is out of town and will not be here until next Monday. Sooooo we will have to wait and see about the picture.
UNtil THen,
Thanks, Nunley.
I still think we should use
Feb 29-31, 2008
then people would be like, hey there aren't 31 days in February, Stupid, and we would be like I know, butthead, its a joke.
And then we could send you their address and you could chop down their trees.
