So I was messing around on google seeing how easy it is to search for this blog. If you type in "edna blog" we are the 29th entry. If you type in "men of edna" we are the 6th entry. "ednahouse" gets us 5th.
Kevin - how can we improve out search results on google??? any ideas?
just a little FYI. Do not type in "ednashouse.blogspot.com" I am pretty sure this is an Al Queda related web site. I found it looking for this one, and an FBI car follows me to work every day now.
I submitted the URL on their indexing page just now, but, I don't think it will matter because I think Google owns this blog anyway and it is crawled by default. Also, we are already showing up in searches. Did you notice if we had a cached page?
A good way to keep our site up high on the list is just to make sure the site is always changing as far as content of posts. Content is the main thing. Don't let it sit too long without someone making a new post, even if it is just a link to a current news story that is interesting. It really helps if other people link to us as well.

Oh yea, also use the keywords when you post a story. If you don't know what that is, think of it as an index in the back of a book. Just put in a few short descriptions of your post. For instance, the time I posted about the Aeropress, I would have put in coffee and aeropress as keywords. On this post, someone could have put Schrute Farms, The Office, Beets.
You can also go back to old posts and keyword them I think. So, as you guys get bored, go back and tag your posts.
