Fall TV Lineup

How was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
-Dr. Gregory House

I'd be interested to hear what TV shows you guys are planning to get hooked on this year. Carmen and I have been watching some of the old favorites, but there are some pretty good new ones that look promising.
So far the primetime fall-linueup shows that we both watch (because I don't watch OC reruns) are as follows:
Old favorites:

  • Rules Of Engagement

  • House

  • My Name is Earl

  • The Office

New favorites:

  • Chuck

  • Big Bang Theory

  • Life

  • Journeyman

  • Bionic Woman not too sure on this one

Carmen gave me one of my birthday presents early too. She got Halo 3 for me and I love it. I hope to be playing it at Men's Weekend '08 if there are any challengers. Peace out my nerds.

And seriously, are there any options you can set on the ads down at the bottom...it's embarassing.

I've been meaning to watch Chuck, but I watched Life and Bionic Woman last night and I thought B.W. was awful. Life, I'm gonna watch again.

Looking forward to Pushing Daisies, and Big Shots was pretty good last week. It's kinda like Desperate Housewives for men.

I'll update the ad preferences. I haven't looked at what they are. What has it been showing?

Laura and I love Chuck. Not the TV Show. This guy who lives next door. He's awesome.

And of course, Heroes.

The classics are good for my wife and I. Office, Prison Break, House, and 30 rock. Elizabeth and I just got Cable, HDTV, and DVR! It is awesome. Are there any good shows on cable that I should watch? I am going to watch man verses wild....but is there anything else?

UNtil THen,

The Dog Whisperer on National Geographic is pretty entertaining, because the guy is a magician.

Man vs. Wild is a hoax. Wikipedia.

Also, Ross, get off Facebook. It's taking up too much of your time that should be spent on this blog.

Duly noted Andrew.

Old shows for me:
Office, Scrubs, LOST, Criminal Minds

New Shows:
Chuck and Pushing Daisies

I think Pushing Daisies will be really good, but will probably be cancelled. I don't think there will be a big audience for a "modern fairy tell about a pie maker who can bring people back to life".

Adam, you got cable, HD and DVR? Are you selling crack to your players as a side business? If not, did I just give you an idea?

Ross, I didn't mean to come down on you so hard. Also, I can't check Facebook at school, so whatever you just posted will remain a mystery to me until I get home.

I will post here for your convenience:

Are you going to the game on Friday?

P.S. we didn't get to the lake till 1:00 on Saturday morning. You may have fallen asleep at the wheel while driving there. For your safety I'm glad you decided to stay home, but you were missed.

Apologies to all for using this blog for personal correspondence.

1. Yes, I'm going to the game. I have gate duty, which sucks.
2. I'm taking the GRE on Saturday.
3. We felt really bad about turning you down, yet again, for the lake invitation. As God is my witness, it will never* happen again. We hope you didn't take it personally.
4. Can we revisit your volunteering to keep Maggie while we're in NYC?
5. I love how you keep updating your profile picture on Facebook to a question mark.

*might=never

Andrew:

1. Gate duty does suck
2. Good luck with the GRE. I take it that means no Saucer after the game.
3. It will happen some other time*.
4. What are the dates you need us to keep her?
5. I think the question mark gives me a sense of mystery.

*other time = we won't be extending you another invitation. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Ross, please give us another chance. I'll buy you a parakeet.

Maggie:
Dropped off: Friday PM, October 12
Picked up: Thursday PM, October 18

A parakeet you say?

Done and done.

I do love Heroes too. We will have to check out Chuck and Pushing up Daisies. Also i am not sure I like all this personal stuff because thing I feel like I should be there but I can't or I feel that I wasn't invited which I couldn't be. But if you are Reading this Landon, I will try to call around 9:00 tonight if that is cool.

UNtil Then

Gate duty: don't get me started. I think my wife took the GRE. the last test I took was the "Millionaire" quiz, and I think we all know how that worked out.

Andrew,
I am honored to be one of your lifelines. I shall name a son after you. (probably not, it doesn't go with our naming convention)

Nunley, sounds good, call me tonight at 9 central standard time to talk about the thing that we had planned to talk about.

YES!!!!! I am visitor 700! Although I don't really feel like a visitor. Sorry guys I have been kind of absent lately, these 80 work weeks SUCK!

Concerning my shows...

Watching the Pelvical fracture episode of The Office currently. I am also making time for Survivor season 27, Champions League soccer (on DVR of course) and CSI: Vegas the original. The miniature killer was a awesome story line last year and it was great to see them continue it this year.

Still wasting too much time watching college football and excited about cheering on my new favorite team the Colorado Rockies.

Andrew, what "littlestitions" are you going to take with you to NYC???

Also, what are you going to wear??? I am dying to know.

Andrew said...

I thought about wearing my "Good Ribs, Tasty Butts" T-shirt with my blue Kentucky shorts.

Kevin said...

I think I can guess, but, hands in or out of the shorts when you are walking to the hot seat?

JDL said...

I watched half of "Pushing Daisies" last night, and I think it's gonna be a keeper.

If you bring that Kentucky cup to the show, I might not answer any calls from the New York area code all that day.
