Website up again...new name

I made another photoblog. Hopefully I can keep up with this one better than the last one. Also, I posted all the old pics from newanalog. The new site is at coffeebuzzPhoto.com. I'll try and get some interesting stuff up and maybe make it into your daily surfing routes. Throw me a link up over there moderators...I'm back. (pic is unrelated)

I see that the blog is suffering from Post-Man's Weekend Doldrums, so to get the conversation going, I'll throw out a topic.



Saw in the news that Danica McKellar (aka: Gwendolyn "Winnie" Cooper) got married over the weekend. I'll say it, growing up I had a thing for Winnie. There it is. It's out there and I can't very well take it back. She just seemed like the perfect girl. She was cute, fun, easy-going, didn't get too uptight when Kevin flirted with other girls. What more could a guy want? Can somebody back me up on this?

Topic: Growing up, who did you have a thing for on television and why? Wives, you can get in on this one too.

Nations Manliest City

Nashville was recently named the nations manliest city. Memphis was number 11 on the list, I have no doubt that if there were a higher concentration of EDNA men it would have been a little higher on the list. Here is the article:

March Madness

The madness is nearing and it is time to fill out your bracket.  I've started a bracket pool on ESPN.com.  The group name is "Ednahouse."  Best of luck!

For those who haven't been by in a while...

WOM 5

Here is one of the group shots.  It resized to a lot smaller when I put it on here.  The original is bigger.  But still you can click on it for wallpaper size.  It also did something weird to the colors.  I'm working on the other pictures still. I have all the RAW files so tell me if you see something wrong other than whatever uploading to blogspot did to the color.

The Day After Tomorrow

Let's use this post to tie up any loose ends.

1) Nunley, how should we plan on compensation for the park and t-shirts?
2) Weather looks Manly enough: Upper 40s-50s for the high and rain
3) The Duke will once again be up for grabs. Some modifications have been made. Be ready.
4) I haven't shaved in 2009 (see picture above)
5) All meals are taken care of, but, as usual, it's BYOB (alcoholic and non) as well as snack foods.
6) I didn't realize this until this year: Natchez Trace State Park is located in Wildersville, TN. Wildersville sounds very Manly.
7) Someone bring a lighter--We forget this every year.

Meals for WOM 5

Let's start the food discussion.
Last few years, we have planned 3 meals. With 9 men, that's 3 each. Seth, check my math.

Kevin threw out the idea of eating in the lodge on Saturday night. Only downside of this, I doubt they are BYOB.

What is the concensus?

As a reminder, here's the pairings from previous years:
-Ross/Andrew/Aaron - Saturday Breafast
-Adam/Kevin/Brandon - Saturday dinner
-Justin/Landon/Seth - Sunday Breakfast

Or we could divide 2 meals among the 9 of us and do the restaurant once.

There are activities at the park that we may wish to partake of, namely a lit tennis court, and a basketball court. There is also free archery, but we would have to provide our own equipment. Also appears to be a horseshoe pit on campground 1. Check out the facilities.

Get your beards ready

• Justin, we are expecting another mustache this year.
  
• Adam, bring back that beast you had on your face last year because it was awesome.
  
• Dr. Gray, yours was cool too. It seemed to say, "I'm a doctor so I need to look clean for work, but I won't hesitate to fight a small mountain lion."
  
• Andrew, you should have no problem bringing back the spectacle you brought last year.

As for the rest of you:

• Ross, step it up. I looked back at the pictures from last year and I'm pretty sure there is a beard in there wanting to grow.
  
• Brandon, I would have expected more from you than you brought last year. You're probably the hairiest one of us, but you act like you're ashamed of it. Let your face do what you know in your heart is right.
  
• Seth, you weren't there, but I have no doubt you'll bring some thunder.
  
• And finally Landon, you completely shaved your beard last year. You've been given the gift of the Beard of Fire and you're throwing it all away. Gillete says "jump!", and all you can say is "how high?". Tsk Tsk.

As for me, I know I didn't bring my A-game last year. An unfortunate swipe of the clippers took a patch of beard away that I wasn't able to salvage. But I brought something. And this year, I'll try to bring even more. Possibly in a Greek style.

Notice the lighter browns sweeping into burnt siennas and then into subtle auburn tones?  Pretty creepy huh?  Now get to it!

The cabin has been reserved for March 13-15!  I requested Villa number 8, but she said there is no guarantee.  It will be 75 per night!  So that is a deal.  Men let us plan our games accordingly and I will work on a t-shirt.  I am going to try and make an emblem that looks some what like a beer bottle label.  I am also up for any ideas.
