Seth and I were blasting our pecs today and talking about the gathering of manliness. Here's a few thoughts I had:
- Regarding meals, can different groups prepare different meals? Like if you did Saturday dinner, you have to do something different this time.
- Adam, I know the games are yours this year, had an idea of having an eating contest or tracking our weights to see who could lose or gain the most weight.
- I think I am going to camp out under the stars this year. If anyone would like to join me, I have room in the tent, as well as access to a second tent.
- Are guns back in this year? I assume so.
- What time will everyone be heading down to Paris?
- Do we have a film picked out this year?
In 30 days, I will be gathered with 8 other manly and burly men, and hopefully some of you will have a moustache. My heart is full to bursting, just like my bladder.

I quote this often
Katie has started playing Tetris on her iPod before bed, and I quote this almost every night.

Taking the Influence of Edna West
As most of you know, since the beginning of my family medicine residency I have wanted to do an extra year of training in sports medicine. In November I went on 10 interviews across the country at different programs and was very impressed by them all. Jenny and I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where we wanted to go. Today was match day and we found out that we got our first choice and will be moving to Los Angeles in late June. Starting July 1st, I will be a fellow on the sports medicine staff and helping to take care of the UCLA athletes. I will be on the sidelines of home football games in the Rose Bowl and I will have a few teams that will call me their team doc.
We are both quite excited about this adventure in our life next year but it is a little crazy too. I hope some of you all will come out to visit! It's going to be a little warmer to visit then Columbia, Mo. Anyone want to come to Cali learn to surf???

Beech is a Nut not a Football Team
Best of luck to the Columbia Central High School football team Friday night as they step onto the Tennessee Tech football field for the state championship game against Beech. Looks like they will prove once again that Columbia is better than Hendersonville.
Justin or Landon are you guys going to the game?

6
As the time for holiday merriment approaches, let this post serve as a metaphorical "popping of the cork" for the planning of the most important holiday of the year: the Weekend of Men 6.
This year proves to be a good one (i.e. cheaper) as Adam's grandfather-in-law's cabin is renovated, operational, and ready for us to christen in anew. So let the discussions flow.
March seems to be a good time. Allow me to offer up to possible dates. March 5-7 or March 12-14. Anybody lean either way on those dates?
Ready? Go!

RIP Headhunters Football
Today, we all die a little inside. Yahoo is shutting down our first child of the internet. You can read the sad news here So go read over the comments, listen to your player profile music one last time (which doesn't work on a Mac apparently, unless its already been turned off) and check out B laying some wood. Any time now, it will be deleted.

Life Changer
You know I love my coffee. We found a place in Chicago that owns 3 (that I saw) Clover coffee makers. Apparently they have custom made ones that were $18,000 a piece. You can get a similar non-custom model for only $11,000 though. It makes one cup of brewed coffee at a time. It isn't brewed until you ask for it unlike at SBUX. It was amazing. Here is the normal Clover machine doing it's magic.

Landon Posts a Video!
This guy reminds me so much of Nunley. I recommend watching their video shorts on YouTube. I have found it entertaining.

This Saturday...
Just wanted to check and see who all is still in for Evie Jane's baptism on Saturday. It will be at Covenant Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m. BBQ afterwards at my parents' house in Hendersonville.
Church address: 33 Burton Hills Blvd, Nashville
Parents' address: 186 Meadow Lake Drive, Hendersonville
I can send you specific directions if you need them. Otherwise, Google maps should do the trick.
Again, as I solidify food plans, could you let me know if you're coming and the number of people coming with you.
Looking forward to see everyone.

Do you agree with this guy?
He's got some pretty interesting stuff on his site. Granted, he's a little bit of a sensationalist, but with a grain of salt I think I agree with some of his stuff. This is just a video he posted today. His website is http://www.larouchepac.com/.
