I know that there are many secret viewers (wives, girlfriends, long lost friends,Squeek, etc.) out there of the Edna Blog. I would love to see who else out there is checking out the blog. Please don't feel like you had to live in Edna to comment on this site.
If you are reading this please comment at least once so we can see how many different people are reading.
... and after you comment, read the post below because I don't want to trump on the Virgin Blogers big news.
Here.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I love this blog. I felt sort of like I was being sneaky, since I think Justin was the only one who knew I looked at it. So now I can confess that I am an Edna blog fan.
ReplyDeleteWould you buy an EdnaBlog t-shirt?
ReplyDeleteUm, maybe... if they are not baseball style.
ReplyDeleteHere
ReplyDeletehere
ReplyDeleteHere.
ReplyDeletePresent.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you always hate the kid that would say "present" to be different when the teacher called roll?
Of the now 2237 views of this blog, atleast 756 of them are mine. I would buy an EdnaBlog t-shirt, but only if there were a gondola reference on it.
Em! So glad that you like to visit. Some of us here visit your blog as well :)
ReplyDeletePresident.
ReplyDeleteHere. I have dreamed of the day when I would be allowed to participate on the blog. Is this a dream? I would buy a t-shirt if my husband says we can afford it.
ReplyDeleteI have a picture now. Not that it matters since I will likely never be allowed to post again. I'm savoring the moment.
ReplyDeleteI, Jennifer, am here via Seth. Being at home and having access to this is way too much of a temptation. Yesterday I taught Jacob how to make mac-n-cheese on his own so I could have my "lunch hour" free. Thanks for letting us participate. I must say I am a blogging virgin, and this is my first time. What an experience...
ReplyDeleteHere. I have to say it is a little exciting to actually get to post. I've thought about it before, but didn't know if it was allowed. I also enjoy reading although I usually have to find time to catch up b/c posts are made so often. I think the comments are the best part - I've already been laughing out loud just reading about the t-shirts! Thanks for letting others join in what seems to have been great times at Edna and the friendships that were formed there! (Cheesey I know, but it had to be said)
ReplyDeletep.s. I wanted to get a profile pic before I posted, but Justin isn't home and I can't figure out how to do it - check back later
how do I add a picture? I have the file, but it is asking for the URL. Please help!
ReplyDeleteI figured it out
ReplyDeleteJennifer - I don't know how to use one that comes from a file, but if you search what you're looking for in Google images, you can pick a picture and then just copy and paste the web address
Jennifer, this doesn't count until you get your own screen name.
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest J-Fo?
ReplyDeleteOr J-Jo, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHere
ReplyDeleteYou'll notice that I just added a picture to my profile. No one ever asked me to, but when Seth did after being on the blog for 48 hours, I felt like an idiot.
I agree with the DR. using "head" as your profile name is kind of weird.
Love the shirts, I'll buy whatever and I liked the baseball style. I would like for "Dees Nuts" to be positioned in a discreet place on the shirt, maybe in the armpit so that we could raise our arms when ever we catch some one with "Hey did they get a hold of you last night...." That was always my favorite one.
Here.
ReplyDeleteSo I thought that I should participate in roll call since my husband made the official invite. I think that I let the cat out of the bag about checking it "just a bit...here and there." Really...what else is an unemployed girl supposed to do with her time?? In all seriousness it is fun to hear about what everyone is up to. Maybe we should get a girl trip together on the next man's weekend....just a thought! Well I have a feeling that there will be much opposition to the girl posts so until then...
Wow, I also never thought the day would come when I would we would be not only allowed, but invited to post on the blog. Don't worry though, it won't become a habit. I admit I check the blog almost every day. I can't help it, it's entertaining, and I too often laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteI must say that I am often embarassed at my husband's lack of basic English skills. Yesterday's spelling of "are selves" almost put me over the edge. But don't worry Andrew, Adam uses spell check on his power point and I proof read all parent letters.
Not that it matters, but I vote for the real pic on the back of the shirt, just for the sake of authenticity.
Couple things...
ReplyDeleteJenny ended her post with "Until then." I would like to think that it was intentional.
Elizabeth, thank you for being the voice of reason about having a real picture on the shirt.
Elizabeth - I know it is your first post, but "I would we would" what does that mean???? I guess that is a form of speech that only the Nunleys understand. Coach, can you please give us a translation.
ReplyDeleteI like how the girls posts 71% longer than the guys posts (on average).
ReplyDeleteI had no idea so many of the ladies checked this blog. I'm going to have to think more before writing anything. I'm going to review my old comments and see what I may have to apologize for.
ReplyDeleteBack in a second.
OK I did a quick check from the past couple of posts and I may have joked about calling an older lady and telling her she had rabies and didn't have much longer to live.
ReplyDeleteIn my defense, this was the woman who screwed up transfering the call to ECS when Andrew was on Millionaire.
Anyways, I apologize to anyone who was offended by my comment. I would not wish rabies on anyone. Except maybe incompetent receptionists that can't transfer a call correctly.
Here...Sorry for the delay in answering to role call. Kevin and I have been busy moving out of our house and in with his parents.
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of free time at work and check the blog several times a day. If the "wives" are allowed to have t-shirts I would definately want one.
One thing that has bothered me. These are comments, not posts. I know, it's not a huge deal, but there's enough bad grammar on here already *cough* Nunley *cough*
ReplyDeleteAnd, I know that calling comments posts is technically not bad grammar, but just the wrong word.
What you should take away from this is we want anyone and everyone to feel free to add things to this place we call home. You have all experienced Edna in your own way. Some of us were just lucky enough to live there and not die from the millions of germs and spores trapped in the moldy basement.
Love the action on the blog during the last few days, let's keep it up. I selfishly would like to see ours on the "Blogs of Note"
JD, thanks for keeping us in line. You taught us a lesson, pointed out where we needed to change, then encouraged us.
ReplyDeleteYou will be a great father someday.
JD actually is a father already - ask him about his night with Mai-Li.
ReplyDeleteMike Stevens is officially banned from posting comments henceforth.
ReplyDeletehe sure has quite a few zingers hidden in his chest hair...so are you steak or beef
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Justin.
ReplyDeleteHere's how I look at it. The outsiders should feel welcome to comment on anything they choose.
However, the right of posting should be reserved for the ones who survived living within the plastered walls of Edna. God knows we earned it.
Nutshell: We (the 9) control the posts (i.e. topics), and anyone can feel free to comment on those posts.
Thoughts?
I don't know the technology behind it all, but are "contributors" the only ones who can present new posts?
ReplyDeleteIf so, then my last comment is void and let's keep this train running.
I wonder if the guy that wrote the program that randomly assigned the house on the corner of 6th and Cedar the telephone extension 3-3-6-2 has any idea how he has changed our lives. Thank you Mr. computer programmer guy.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I meant. Commenting is open to all. Posting is reserved for the Men of EDNA.
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
ReplyDeleteThis is Jennifer again, and Andrew I will definitely "get on that" as far as my own screen name. Until then, please please please don't start censoring your comments/posts/whatever you want to call them. The authenticity of your posts, etc. are what make us all want to read them!
ReplyDeleteI just got on the blog and I pissed myself just a little. The reason for this 40 comments on one post. It took me all lunch break to read them. I am proud of the Men of Edna. Look how many lives we touch and all the issues we tackle. We bring joy to lives around the world. Well Done, Well Done.
ReplyDeleteJenny I did love the placement of "until then." AWESOME. And Aaron thank you for pointing out my wives mistakes! In her defense, it is hard being married to me! My lack of grammar skills ware you down like a monkey does a anaconda!
I am glad that I am a source of laughter for you all!
UNtil THen,
Ok then if I didn't censor my last post I would have said "Holy Shit 40 Comments on one post!" in place of all of my comment.
ReplyDeleteNunley,
ReplyDeleteFour things:
1. Thanks for changing your name.
2. You used the word "post" incorrectly. Lead your family by example. And shape up or JD will bring the hurt.
3. There are ladies reading now, some are even pregnant (or will become pregnant soon *Kandice*). Please use language that is fitting of a gentlman.
4. Your butchering of the printed English language astounds me.
"My wives mistakes"
ReplyDeleteHow many wives do you have?
What does it take to be a "Blog of Note"
ReplyDeleteI think we should make that happen and then once more traffic is generated sell the website t-shirts. I think a worthy goal would be to generate enough money to pay for lodging, transportation, food, and beer to Man's Weekend each year, and extra skeets.
Awwww skeet skeet skeet skeet
ReplyDelete"get on that"
-No, really, that's what she said
I got a picture.
ReplyDeleteok, after reviewing my previous comments and seth bringing to my attention the possible innuendos that could be implied, I apologize. seth is trying, as we speak, to trick me into making additional inappropriate comments. thanks though, kevin, for bringing these to everyone's attention.
ReplyDeleteI really could have used the good laugh during work today that I just had catching up on all the comments . And I agree, please don't start censoring posts or comments because that's what makes it so entertaining.
ReplyDeleteJust doing my part to get the comments on this post to 100. What is the record?
ReplyDeleteAlright men......I am tired of the cracks on my English! You all know what I am trying to say b/c we are all like brothers. Now Ross I wish you would not try to oppress my first amendment rights and if you read the comment before Jennifer asked for no censorship. Katie later said no censorship. So please back off. I could also take Justin. Just ask him about boccie ball.
ReplyDeleteUNtil THen,
Nunley, I feel your pain, well not really, I was pretty good at grammar growing up, but my thighs always rubbed together and that's hard to hide.
ReplyDeleteLet the ridicule spur you on to greater grammar, and know that those who ridicule cannot hide behind their computer screens on Man's Weekend.
Also, updated the picure. If I make a crack about how old my boss is, 44, he's really touchy about that, he'll kindly remind me that I look like Alfred E Newman.
"Break me off a piece of that Fancy Feast!"
ReplyDeleteNailed it!
My favorite part was Stanley picking up trash in a prison jumpsuit. I guess thats his "Urban Vibe"
ReplyDeleteSince we're officially not censoring comments, I coughed up some mucus this morning the size of a peanut M&M. Dr. Gray, is that kosher?
"Pam, clear my phone lines."
ReplyDelete"OK, beep boop bop peep beep bop boop beep. OK done."
"Thanks."
was it red or green m&m??
ReplyDeleteA little red, but mostly green.
ReplyDeleteAaron,
ReplyDeleteI just read the posts on your oncallagain blog. Those are some funny stories. I didn't get all the medical jargon like "pariocarditis" or "infarction" or "lungs", but I still thought it was great reading.
Justin, seriously are you going to get the t-shirts?
ReplyDeleteSorry. UNtil THen,
ReplyDeleteMen, I want to get the approval to invite squeak to see our blog. He called me and I am going to call him back very soon. Will that be good?
ReplyDeleteUNtil THen,
No.
ReplyDeleteGet what t-shirts?
ReplyDeleteI don't want a ton of UT-centered comments, so I would vote no on Squeak as well. I'm with Andrew.
T-shirts?
ReplyDeleteFor the weekend? and the site?
ReplyDeleteWasn't the Golden Duke winner in line for making the shirts?
ReplyDeleteUNtil THen,
I'm a fan of the idea. I wasn't aware we had come to an agreement and I was responsible for the procurement of said shirts.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am coming up with this years Manlympics. Keep that in mind.
Thirdly, I may or may not have Meningitis. Hopefully, we'll find out soon.
jdl - what kind of symptoms are you having? any purple rashes? can you touch your chin to you neck? are you secretly living in college dorms or millitary barracks??
ReplyDeleteI wish I could breathe with my eyes. I saw that on House a few weeks ago, it looked far out.
ReplyDeleteMostly Flu-like symptoms. Body aches, sore throat, head ache. I realize that I don't actually have Meningitis. I said that for effect. Kinda like cussing.
hope you have all gotten you flu shot!!!
ReplyDeleteI just gave myself a cooties shot. I wish the flu shot was that easy.
ReplyDeleteI have supperior Genes due to a great grandfather of mine being a Schrute. A flue shot is both a waste of time and money for me.
ReplyDeleteAaron, this may be a stupid question, and I could probably just ask my own dr., but does a pregnant woman get a flu shot?? I know Jacob will...
ReplyDeletethe purpose of that last comment was really to help my husband's cause and try to get the number of comments on one post to exceed 100. does it really matter that none of these comments really have anything to do with "role call" anymore...just curious. i'm new to all this.
ReplyDeletepregnant moms and kids 6-60 months are strongly recommended to get it.
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteI would say, for the most part a good post will get around 15-20 comments. This post has taken a life of it's own due to the increase in contributors (which is awesome).
Also, this whole "internet" thing is so new, who knows what's right and wrong anymore.
Excellent point Ross.
ReplyDeleteExcept you misused the word "contributors".
ReplyDeleteCommenter's would be the preferred nomenclature
ReplyDeleteor groundlings.
ReplyDeleteAaron,
ReplyDeleteI've never had a flu shot, do I really need one. I thought flu shots were for people 60+. Are flue shots as important as contributing regularly to your employer sponsored retirement plan or individual ROTH IRA?
I posted this morning with @50 posts, when I checked tonight there were 82, this is amazing. Are we any closer to the blog of note.
I would like the golden duke on our t-shirts, can we take a picture of the actual duke and put it somewhere on the shirt.

ReplyDeleteMom's heating up! One more and she's on FIRE! (read this in NBA JAM voice, it's much funnier that way)
ReplyDeleteWhose mom is that?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteYeah Who is MOM?
ReplyDeleteSorry forgot to refresh the page!
ReplyDeleteUNtil THen,

ReplyDeleteWhat the....?!?!?
ReplyDeleteIt was the work of the Mob or some drug gangs! I just got out of an inservice dealing with drugs.
ReplyDeleteUNtil THen,
